1943 dated, sealed pattern for the printed CNR badge for use on coats etc. Produced by the Post Office Stores Dept. which undertook much of the supply of Civil Defence and related insignia.
The CNR was recruited initially to augment staff at hospitals during war but was later extended to provide staff for FAPs in shelters and rest centres.  read more

Paper emblem given in return for a donation to Mrs Churcills' Aid to Russia Fund, designed to be worn in the buttonhole. Formed in 1942 the fund went onto provide food, vehicles and supplies that went towards Russias war effort. In good overall condition with some creasing and pinholes.
