White metal and enamel badge for the Surrey Police Auxiliary Messenger Service. Half moon lapel fitting manufactured by Thos. Fattorini, Birmingham, numbered to the reverse, excellent condition.
PAMS consisted of 500 full time and a large number of part time youths between 16 and 18 who were employed as Police messengers. Put into uniform in 1941 and disbanded in 1945  read more
