Air Raid Warden's Helmet.

An above average example of a MkII 3 helmet worn by an ARP Warden. Shell by F & L ( Fisher & Ludlow Ltd -- Birmingham ), dated 1940 with a size 7 1/4, 1941 dated Mk II liner by C.C.L. ( Charles Collett Ltd -- London ). Neatly stencilled ' W ' to front and rear featuring a high gloss black finish. This helmet is clearly identified as a non-ballistic example by the drilling of three holes to the rim on both sides and the marking ' M.S.' indicating its manufacture in mild steel. Good example with minor abrasions and one bruise near crown.
