Producers of aluminium sheet and extrusions, the Banbury plant produced much of the aluminium used in the British aircraft industry during WW2. Illustrated with diagrams and b/w photographs the 74pg manual covers all major grenade types in service with the British Army as well as a section on German types. Slightly grubby cover but otherwise a good copy of an uncommon manual. read more

Scarce example of a wartime tie for a member of the A.F.S. All silk example produced under the ' Apsley ' brand by Hope Bros of Ludgate Hill. Ties were produced for a number of the Home Front services during the War and not commonly encountered. Good, used and faded condition. Scarce. read more

Introduced in 1940 and added to through the war these brooches were intially made in chrome and enamel with painted versions added as a wartime expedient. Centre Organiser refers to WVS members employed in local WVS headquarters known as centres.
