Pair of two piece construction, shoulder flashes worn by the Cambridgeshire and Isle of Ely battalions of the Home Guard. The 25mm x 10mm flashes were worn by the regular battalions of the Cambs regiment and were adopted by the Cambs HG from 1940 and were worn in place of battalion titles. NFS/AFS MkII Steel Helmet.

A good 1939 dated Mk II steel helmet for use by the NFS of 12 Fire Force ( centred on Cambridge ). Manufacturer marked ( Fisher & Ludlow,Birmingham) and dated. Originally this helmet was used by the AFS whose white initials have been painted and can be clearly discerned to the rear.
