Oak biscuit or tobacco barrel with ceramic insert and white metal fittings. Pinned to the exterior is a presentation plate with the dedication ' Presented to Mr & Mrs Ladd by "A" Group Wardens Corps 31-10-42. In good overall condition with one split.

Blue ,embroidered , sansserif lettering Home Guard shoulder title. This colour of shoulder title is associated with use by units of the Greater Manchester Home Guard. The area covered by Greater Manchester was divided into zones with each zone taking a different colour shoulder title. Wartime Mk II helmet marked to a leading Fireman in the Morris Motors Fire Brigade. Size 7 liner, 1939 dated and maker marked ' BMB ' - Briggs Motor Bodies. Indistinct makers marks to rim of helemet overstamped ' M M Ltd ' , other painted and scratehed numbers to inside rim. Paint rates at approx 80% present with losses to rim and crown of helmet.
