A highly uncommon example of the ' Cape Serge Home Guard '. Introduced in 1940, the capes soon proved to be unpopular and it would appear that most had been withdrawn by 1943. Made of serge with a partial lining and two shoulder straps with internal pockets, button fastening and closures to provide makeshift sleeves.
