Brass and enamel, pinback badge by Fattorini of Bradford for wear by workers of the Catholic Women's League who ran one of their various canteens for H.M.Forces. Often situated at stations, these volunteer ran canteens dispensed ' chars and wads ' to the myriad of serviceman on the move during the war. Good, overall condition, patinated overall. read more

A pair of WD 12 Bore shotgun cartridges widely issued to the Home Guard in an effort to make a shotgun a more effective weapon by making a heavier projectile load. These cartridges were 12 bore SG containing 9x8.mm pellets and are clearly broad arrow ' SG ' marked to the side of the cartridge and manufactured by Eley-Kynoch. Visibly inert with small hole to reverse wall. Priced individually.
