Wolseley on National Service Lapel Badge.

Gilt and enamel on National Service badge for the well known vehicle manufacturer Wolseley. Pinback fitting marked ' Thos Fattorini, B'ham ' and numbered to the reverse. During WW2 Wolseley were heavily involved in wartime contracts building everything from tanks, Bren Gun carriers and a range of vehicles. Good, used condition with rubbing to gilt finish and light abrasions to enamel. Scarce.  read more

Set of 50 cards given free with Will's Cigarettes entitled ' Air Raid Precautions ' Issued in 1938, the full colour cards show subjects from ' choosing your refuge room ',gasmasks, incendiary bombs and anti-aircraft guns with explanatory text to the reverse. RAF Benevolent Fund Victory Bell. Cast in 1945 in metal ' from German aircraft shot down over Britain 1939-1945 ' the bell features a prominent ' V ' on the handle and relief images of the ' Big Three ' leaders, Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin. In good condition with the usual minor marking to surface finish and minor bruising to rim.  read more

Northumberland & Durham War Needs Fund Lapel Badge.

Gilt and enamel, pinback lapel badge for the Northumberland & Durham War Needs Fund. Probably worn by a collector or Fund worker, manufactured by Fattorini of Bradford. The Fund provided a number of services from bandages to running hostels for servicemen. Excellent, bright condition with a small surface flake at 11 o'clock.  read more
