20mm tin and celluloid pinback badge for the ' A Cog In The Wheel ' salvage scheme. The scheme was started in 1942 by the WVS in London, in an attempt to involve more schoolchildren in the collection of salvage. These badges were awarded to the more successful collectors. This Phoney War period novelty was manufactured by Fieldings under their ' Crown Devon ' banner. This full size chamber pot titled ' No.1 Jerry ' features Hitlers' face in the interior ready to receive a face full with the exhortation to ' have this on old Nasty ' and another violation of Poland '. 1943 dated CD Battledress Blouse (Rescue Austerity). This size 2 blouse was produced by the Rego Clothiers Ltd and is a small size designed for someone 5'4" or under. The austerity pattern was a simplified design that dispensed with pocket pleats and other economising measures.
