Excellent example of the particularly scarce Home Guard Auxiliary Unit lapel badge. Chrome and enamel badge with half moon button hole fixing, non maker-marked, no damage to enamel.
These badges have now been acknowledged as wartime, issued post stand down of the patrols. read more

Comic ashtray in the form of a potty with Göring's face in the interior with the dedication ' Jerry No.2 ' and ' Flip Your Ashes on Old Piggy '. This Phoney War period novelty was one of a series showing notable Axis leaders and was manufactured by Fieldings. ' Sleeve, Belt, Web, HG pattern '.
Unique to the Home Guard, this webbing loop had two buckles attached which provided the fastening for the supporting braces for the pouches. The sleeve was then slid over the HG pattern leather belt which was narrower than the standard '37 pattern belt - hence the need for the sleeve. Maker marked but indistinct with a 1943 date to the reverse and in excellent, used condition. Scarce. read more
