Solid rubber drill round for the Northover Projector. Weighing nearly 1.5lbs this drill projector was designed for loading and firing practice with the Northover Projector. Originally painted bright red, for ease of discovery, this example has approx.20% remaining and has the wording ' Northover Projector Drill Projectile ' in relief to the base. In generally, good, used condition this example has clearly been the subject of a dog's attention at some time - maybe the Home Guard unit involved trained a dog to retreive them after firing ! but this does not seriously affect the appearance of a scarce item of Home Guard artillery.
