Enamel Stirrup Sign.

150mm x 40mm approx. slightly curved, enamel sign indicating the presence of a stirrup pump. The ubiquitous stirrup pump was the first line of defence in fighting incendiaries and the fires they started and were to be found throughout public buildings, this sign indicated where one could be found. Good, clean condition with some minor chipping marking etc.
