Uncommon chrome and enamel lapel badge for the Old Comrades Association of the National Fire Service No. 4 (Overseas) Column. The No. 4 (Overseas) Column NFS was a special World War II firefighting unit formed from rigorously selected volunteers. Established in 1944, it was the only NFS column trained and deployed to cross the English Channel and provide active fire cover for Allied lines of communication in Europe. Good, clean and bright condition.
