Foolscap file bearing an official report and subsequent correspondence regarding the fall of bombs near Langley Point in the Borough of Eastbourne on 13/12/1940. The file contains eleven items of correspondence regarding the fall of bombs and then what appears to be squabble between local Police and A.R.P. Control as to the alacrity and accuracy of the reporting. Interestingly some of the correspondence is typed on the reverse of earlier Police Notices advising of Air Raid Precautions. Fascinating insight into the bureaucracy under pinning wartime Britain.
