Embroidered cotton on wool WVS armband. Introduced in 1943 for members of the WVS not in possession of uniform who were engaged on work where 'recognition of status is desirable'. This example has the addition of of five years war service stripes sewn to the outside and a WVS Civil Defence lapel badge. In good, used condition
