Civil Nursing Reserve Sealed Pattern.

1943 dated, sealed pattern for the printed CNR badge for use on coats etc. Produced by the Post Office Stores Dept. which undertook much of the supply of Civil Defence and related insignia.
The CNR was recruited initially to augment staff at hospitals during war but was later extended to provide staff for FAPs in shelters and rest centres.
